Create sustainable and affordable housing for both renters and homeowners.
Advocate for both tenant protection and small property owner support.
Transform vacant commercial spaces into mixed-income affordable housing developments.
Establish grant and low-interest loan programs for foreclosure prevention to preserve generational wealth.
Reform public housing rent calculations using base salaries only—not overtime pay—to ensure fair, affordable housing costs

Expand Services for Seniors

Increase essential funding for senior centers and programming throughout District 28.
Expand access to home care support programs to help seniors age in place safely.
Push for an increase in ADA-compliant upgrades: elevators, escalators and ramps in our subways and public transportation systems.
Protect and preserve affordable senior housing from rising costs to keep residents in their homes.

Make Our Streets Safer and Government Accountable

Advocate for trained professionals to work closely with law enforcement when encountering vulnerable populations.
Support community-based public safety solutions.
Work with public safety officers and cure violence groups to address gun violence and youth crime with more mentorship programs.
Work with small businesses to create safer commercial corridors and enhance street lighting to ensure residents are safe in their homes, schools, businesses and cars.
Implement smarter traffic controls to improve traffic safety and
congestion.

Deliver Quality Education and Youth Programs

Work with colleagues in government to continue renovating aging school buildings to include more accessible learning spaces, better ventilation, and modern technology.
Recruit more public school teachers, advocate for higher salaries, and work with the NYC Department of Education to comply with the NYC Class Size Law..
Advocate for funding for afterschool and sports programming for all.
Expand college access and career technical education programs
